Check-In
When you arrive at Celerion, you and your belongings will be checked for items that may affect your absorption rate or could be considered dangerous or irreplaceable.
The following is a partial list of items you should
NOT bring during your stay at MDS Pharma Services:
- Food or drink of any kind
- External speakers
- Medication (unless permission from the Admissions Department or Study Manager has been given)
- Any item listing alcohol as an ingredient (e.g., hairspray, skin astringents, etc.)
- Water bottles or any type of drink container
- Mouthwash
- Any items listing an SPF or sun block as an ingredient
- Weapons, pocket knives
- Large amounts of money
- Valuables
- Any item labeled as "medicated", including Chapstick, Carmex, Blistex, acne face wash / lotion / topical
- Nail polish remover
- Nail polish
- Cologne or perfume
- Cameras or video cameras
- Inappropriate Movies or DVDs
- Cameras, including mobile phones with camera
- Any items not labeled
- Linens or Pillows
Each participant is allowed to bring
ONE regular size bag and a suitcase. Please be advised that
ALL items will be searched at check-in, and items not allowed in the facility will be confiscated and returned at checkout.
An orientation session conducted by a Celerion Study Manager is held at the beginning of every study and includes an explanation of what you will experience during the study, a review of the study schedule, an optional tour of the facility and the expectations of the study participants.
Personal Hygiene Items to Bring:
- Government Issued I.D. / Picture I.D.
- Towels, washcloths
- Shampoo, conditioner, soap
- Toothbrush, toothpaste
- Brush, comb
- Razor, shaver
- Blow dryer, curling iron
- Lotion, deodorant

- Board games & puzzles
- Game System
- MP3/CD players with headset
- Cell phone without a camera
- Arts and crafts projects
- Stamps and stationary
- Laptop
You will be provided with scubs to wear during your stay. Please bring under garments and if you would like a sweater and/or slippers.
